GRANTS PROGRAM
Guidelines for Making a Request
The Oneida Nation Foundation receives over 3,000 requests annually, all of which are reviewed and considered. Due to the volume of appeals, it is, unfortunately, impossible to support or respond to them all. To streamline the process, several guidelines have been established.
- All requests must be submitted at least two months in advance and must be made in writing. Requests should include proof of the organization's tax-exempt status and should be mailed to:
Mr. Chuck Fougnier
Chairman
Oneida Nation Foundation
5218 Patrick Road
Verona, NY 13478
foundation@oneida-nation.org
- Nonprofit organizations make only one request per calendar year, regardless of whether their request was funded or declined.
- In the event that a request is granted, the recipient organization agrees that the Oneida Nation may publicize its support through media releases, publications, photo opportunities, etc.
- Areas of special interest include youth, health, education, the environment, Native American causes and the Central New York community.
- Eligible requests include charitable gifts, sponsorships, journal advertisements, fundraising contests, and gifts for door prizes or raffles. Contributions will not be made to individuals, community chests, or political action committes.
